I walked into the senior center… and walked right back into myself.
Not because I wasn’t welcome. Not because I didn’t belong. But because something deep in my spirit whispered, “You’re not that kind of senior.”
See, turning 70 isn’t about slowing down—it’s about showing up. And for me, that means showing up as a woman who still dreams big, creates boldly, and moves with purpose. I didn’t walk into that building looking for bingo or cookie-cutter conversations. I walked in with a fire in my belly, a vision in my heart, and a calling that still whispers, There’s more.
More to do. More to say. More to be.
That moment—standing in the doorway of a room filled with people trying to define what “senior” should look like—was the start of something bigger. I didn’t feel old. I felt alive. I felt like my 70s weren’t a slowdown—they were my second wind.
So I walked out. Not out of rejection, but out of recognition.
Because I’m walking into something far more sacred: The Walk to 70.A soulful, bold, creative movement where aging doesn’t mean fading—it means flourishing.
I’m talking about: 🌟 Creating digital magic with AI. 🌟 Designing quilted stories that honor our heritage. 🌟 Writing love letters to the woman I’m still becoming.
🌟 Guiding others through soulful entrepreneurship and radical mindfulness.
This season of life isn’t about disappearing. It’s about being visible and vibrant. It’s about being the woman who steps fully into her own light—lipstick on, laptop open, and spirit dancing to its own rhythm.
I’m not here to play it safe. I’m here to play it true.
So if you’re like me—creative, seasoned, soulful, and still cooking with ideas and passion—let’s redefine this chapter. Let’s walk into 70 not as a soft landing, but as a powerful launch.
We are not done. We’re divine. And we’re just getting started.
Welcome to my Walk to 70. Not that kind of senior. And proudly so.
